Who we are

This site is operated as Considered Gifts ("we", "us"), reachable at admin@consideredgifts.com. This policy explains what we collect on consideredgifts.com and why.

What we collect

The public site has no accounts. You can browse and use the gift finder without giving us personal information. Finder answers stay in the page URL and your own browser; they are not sent to us as personal data.

If you join Gift Notes, we collect your email address, the signup location on the site, consent time, and subscription status. We use this only to send the editorial emails you requested, on the basis of your consent. Every message will include an unsubscribe option.

Only if you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and in-page events (such as clicking through to a retailer). Until you accept, Google Consent Mode keeps analytics storage disabled and only cookieless, aggregated signals are sent.

Cookies

We use a small number of functional cookies and, after consent, Google Analytics cookies. The full list is in the cookie policy. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Legal basis

Analytics is processed on the basis of your consent. Essential, functional cookies (remembering your language and your consent choice) rely on our legitimate interest in a working website.

Who processes the data

• Google — Google Analytics, only after consent.
• Vercel — hosting and content delivery.
• Supabase— stores the site's gift catalogue, editorial content, and newsletter subscriber records.

Some of these providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards their own terms provide.

Retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' settings. Functional cookies last for the durations listed in the cookie policy. Newsletter records are kept while you remain subscribed and for a limited period afterwards where necessary to honor an unsubscribe or legal obligation.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email admin@consideredgifts.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
